Artist, Adam Crispin, has been doing paintings on canvas for 17 years.

He has been developing his oil painting process in the decade since graduating from the Kansas City Art Institute in 1997.  After several years of immersion in post academic studio painting, the artist sought out to learn from the land.  A two year sabbatical from abstract art took him to Southeast Alaska where he painted the landscape with oil and watercolor.  Here he won a blue ribbon for professional class oil on canvas landscape painting in the State Fair.  From 2003-2005 Crispin was an Artist in Residence at the Mendocino Art Center in Northern California.  Here he returned to abstract studio painting where his works have since retained a strong element of landscape.  The artist moved to Portland Oregon in 2005 and continues to develop in a painting studio in the Pearl District.  His art has been displayed in galleries from Florida to Alaska and is in dozens of private collections.
